Rahul Gandhi, the former Congress president, is set to conduct a roadshow in Wayanad to demonstrate his party’s strength. This will be his first visit to his former district since losing his Lok Sabha seat. To show support for Rahul Gandhi, his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will also be accompanying him to the event. The Congress has made significant preparations for this roadshow, and it is expected to attract a large number of supporters.
The event will begin at 3 PM in Kalpetta, Wayanad, with a “Satyameva Jayate” roadshow by Rahul Gandhi. The tour will start at SK MJ High School and end at the MP office. At around 5 PM, a public conference will be held in front of the MP’s office. Rahul Gandhi is expected to deliver a speech at the conference.
Reports suggest that voters in the Wayanad constituency will also receive a letter from Rahul Gandhi. The IUML and RSP leaders who are allies of Congress will be present at the roadshow. The Congress wants to make it clear through this roadshow that Rahul Gandhi is being targeted because of his criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which led to his disqualification as an MP.
There was some controversy regarding the IUML’s green flag in Rahul Gandhi’s 2019 election campaign. To avoid such scenarios, the roadshow will only feature the Tricolor. Shihab Thangal, the head of the IUML, who is allied with the Congress in Kerala, will take part in the roadshow. Other Congress leaders, including KC Venugopal and Tarik Anwar, will also participate.
NK Premachandran, a supporter of Congress, will also take part in the roadshow. The Congress hopes that this roadshow will help them garner support for Rahul Gandhi and demonstrate their strength in Wayanad.
