Bhatti Vikramarka, the leader of the Congress Legislature Party in Telangana, has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting the unfulfilled promises made under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act (APRA). The APRA was enacted in 2014 to bifurcate the state of Andhra Pradesh into two separate states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. However, several promises made under this act have not been fulfilled, leading to discontent among the people of Telangana.

In his letter, Vikramarka has pointed out that several provisions of the APRA remain unimplemented, including the establishment of a railway coach factory in Telangana, the construction of a steel plant in Bayyaram, and the setting up of a tribal university in the state. He has also highlighted the issue of the division of assets and liabilities between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, which has not been done properly. This has resulted in Telangana being deprived of its rightful share of resources.

Vikramarka’s letter to Modi is a reflection of the growing frustration among the people of Telangana over the unfulfilled promises made under the APRA. The failure to implement these promises has hindered the development of the state and has led to a sense of injustice among its people. It is important for the central government to take note of these grievances and take steps to address them. Only then can Telangana truly realize its potential as a prosperous and thriving state in India.
