Mahabubabad, a town in the Indian state of Telangana, has reported 15 cases of COVID-19 among students. The students, who had returned from different parts of the country, were staying in hostels and were tested upon arrival. The positive cases have been isolated and are being treated at the local hospital. The district administration has also initiated contact tracing to identify other individuals who may have come in contact with the infected students.

The state government has been taking measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among students. It had earlier issued guidelines for the reopening of schools and colleges, which included mandatory testing of students and staff upon arrival. However, despite these measures, cases have been reported from various educational institutions in the state. The government has urged students and parents to follow safety protocols such as wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and avoiding large gatherings.

The recent surge in cases among students has raised concerns about the safety of educational institutions. While some institutions have opted for online classes, others have reopened with strict safety measures in place. The government has assured that it is closely monitoring the situation and taking necessary steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19. It has also urged citizens to continue following safety protocols and cooperate with authorities in their efforts to contain the virus.
