    Jamshedpur FC and Mumbai City FC will face off in the Club Playoffs on Tuesday for a direct spot in the AFC Champions League Group Stage. The winner of the match, which will take place at Payyanad Stadium in Manjeri, will secure a spot in the AFC Champions League 2023-24 group stage. Both teams head into the match following their successful campaigns in the Indian Super League (ISL) Winners’ Shield. Jamshedpur FC won the Shield in 2022, their first-ever silverware, while Mumbai City FC won it in 2022-23 after registering 14 wins in 20 matches. The two teams played out a 1-1 draw in their previous encounter, with the Islanders winning the second leg. Mumbai City FC participated in the previous edition of the AFC Champions League, becoming the first-ever Indian club to register a victory in the group stage of the competition. The winner of Tuesday’s match will have an opportunity to represent Indian football on the Asian stage.
