The Sri Rama Navami procession organized by Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh on Thursday drew criticism after a photograph of Nathuram Godse was seen being carried during the event. The BJP has faced backlash from the public and politicians alike. The Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) also condemned the act, stating that the BJP is trying to promote Hindutva ideologue in the country. PDSU State President P Mahesh demanded clarification from MLA T Raja Singh regarding the message he wants to convey to the people of the country through such acts. He further alleged that the BJP and RSS are inciting sectarianism for political benefits and trying to change the Constitution to implement Hindutva ideologue since coming to power. The PDSU demanded immediate identification and arrest of those responsible for the incident and revocation of MLA Raja Singh’s membership of the Legislative Assembly.
