The city of Hyderabad celebrated the Rama Navami festival with great religious fervour at the Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Banjara Hills on Thursday. The auspicious day saw Radha Govinda, who appeared in the Avataras of Sita Ramachandra, beautifully decorated with flowers, new dresses, and jewellery.
The morning began with the traditional Grand Sitarama Kalyanotsavam, accompanied by Vedic hymns and soul-stirring Kirtans by devotees. The ceremony was performed to usher in prosperity and welfare for all. Additionally, the festival included Rama Taraka Ashtottara Homam, which was performed for the well-being and protection of everyone.
Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa, President of Hare Krishna Movement in Hyderabad, shared his belief that chanting Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare every day can help one feel the presence of Lord Ramachandra and Lord Sri Krishna. This, in turn, can lead to eternal happiness in their association and service.
