The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded that the Election Commission immediately recognise it as a national party and provide it with all the facilities that a national party is entitled to during the upcoming Karnataka Assembly polls. The Election Commission has said that it is reviewing the matter. These conditions include being recognised as a state party in four states and having at least two members in the respective legislative assemblies. The AAP has been recognised as a state party in Delhi, Punjab, Goa and Gujarat.
