The issue of stray dogs has become a serious concern for both humans and animals in Jagtial. Recently, there have been incidents where stray dogs have attacked and killed livestock. In one such incident, nine sheep were killed and a few others were injured in Muthyampet of Mallapur mandal.

According to the villagers, a shepherd had herded his sheep in a cattleshed on Monday night when a group of street dogs attacked the flock and killed nine of them. The local shepherds informed the mandal veterinary doctor, who visited the village and performed a panchnama. The shepherd community has appealed to the officials to provide compensation to the affected shepherd.
