The ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana has responded to allegations made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah that the state government did not celebrate Hyderabad Liberation Day on September 17. The BRS has reminded the BJP that the day is officially celebrated as National Integration Day by the Telangana Government. The day marks the integration of Hyderabad state into the Indian union on September 17, 1948. The BRS working president and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao has accused Amit Shah of making false statements and has shared news clippings for his reference. Social media influencer P Vishnuvardhan Reddy has also ridiculed the allegations made by Amit Shah, calling it a blatant lie and questioning how he would know what is happening in Telangana other than just reading out handed over scripts.
