Auto drivers JAC (Joint Action Committee) in Hyderabad has demanded the suspension of the West Zone Regional Transport Officer (RTO) over allegations of corruption and harassment of auto drivers. The demand came after a series of protests and demonstrations by auto drivers in Hyderabad, who claimed that the RTO was extorting money from them and harassing them on a regular basis.

The Auto drivers JAC is a union of auto drivers in Hyderabad, which has been fighting for the rights of auto drivers in the city. The union has been demanding better working conditions, fair treatment from the authorities, and an end to corruption in the transport department.

The demand for the suspension of the West Zone RTO was made after several auto drivers complained that they were being harassed by the RTO and his staff. The auto drivers claimed that the RTO was demanding bribes from them for issuing permits and licenses, and was also imposing heavy fines on them for minor violations.

The Auto drivers JAC also alleged that the RTO was not following the rules and regulations set by the government, and was instead working in collusion with a few select auto drivers who were willing to pay bribes.

The demand for the suspension of the RTO was supported by several political parties and other organizations, who also accused the RTO of corruption and harassment. The issue was also raised in the state assembly, where several members demanded action against the RTO.

The Transport Minister of Telangana, Puvvada Ajay Kumar, has assured the auto drivers that their grievances will be addressed, and that action will be taken against the RTO if he is found guilty of any wrongdoing.

The demand for the suspension of the RTO is a reflection of the larger problem of corruption and harassment faced by auto drivers in Hyderabad. The auto drivers in the city are often subjected to harassment and exploitation by the authorities, who demand bribes and impose heavy fines on them for minor violations.

The Auto drivers JAC has been fighting against this injustice for years, and their demand for the suspension of the West Zone RTO is a clear indication that they will not back down until their demands are met. The government must take immediate action to address the grievances of the auto drivers in Hyderabad, and ensure that they are treated fairly and with respect.
