    On Sunday, a man named B Mallesham, aged 29 and a resident of Gummadidala, was allegedly caught stealing electricity wires from agriculture fields in and around the village. In response, farmers from the area reportedly thrashed him before tying him to a pole and electrocuting him. Mallesham was found dead on the spot with charred legs.

    According to reports, farmers in the area had been experiencing regular thefts of electricity wires from their fields. As a result, they had been keeping a watch on the movements of potential thieves. When they caught Mallesham in the act, they took matters into their own hands.

    Mallesham’s family members have since staged a protest, demanding action be taken against those responsible for his death. He is survived by his wife and three children.

    The police have registered a case and are currently investigating the incident.
