India’s Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety Boora emerged victorious at the IBA Women’s Boxing World Championships, with Ghanghas winning India’s first gold in the event and Boora securing the second. Ghanghas defeated Mongolia’s Lutsaikhan Altansetseg in a 5-0 win, becoming the sixth Indian boxer to be crowned world champion. Boora won her bout against Chinese opponent Wang Lina 4-3 in a thrilling contest. Both boxers displayed impressive skills and technique, with Boora wowing the crowd with her performance. The event was attended by 2008 Olympic Games bronze medallist and Nitu’s idol Vijender Singh.
