The President of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), A Revanth Reddy, has criticized the BJP government for disqualifying Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha and cancelling his post. Reddy alleged that the Central government disqualified Gandhi to prevent him from raising the issue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s friend Gautam Adani. Speaking to media persons at his residence in Jubilee Hills, Reddy stated that the country is currently witnessing an undeclared emergency and accused Prime Minister Modi of acting like a dictator.
Reddy further explained that Rahul Gandhi has been given 30 days to appeal against his sentence of two years by the Surat court, which convicted him for defamation. However, despite the suspension of his sentence, the Centre has disqualified Rahul Gandhi. Reddy believes that this is nothing but witch-hunting by the BJP government.
Reddy emphasized that Rahul Gandhi had exposed the failures of the BJP government during his recent Bharat jodo Yatra. He urged the Central government to stop suppressing the voices of opposition leaders and work towards addressing the issues faced by the country.
