It’s important to note that India relies heavily on crude oil imports for petrol and diesel, which means that crude prices play a significant role in determining fuel prices. However, other factors such as increasing demand, government taxes, depreciation of the rupee against the dollar, and refinery capacity ratio also impact domestic fuel prices.

It’s worth mentioning that the fuel prices mentioned above are subject to change at any time as petroleum companies such as Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) adjust fuel prices based on crude oil prices.
