    The Cyberabad police have recently made a significant breakthrough in the fight against cybercrime in India. The police have arrested a gang of cyber thieves who were stealing personal data and selling it to third parties. This is being hailed as the biggest cybercrime scam in the country, as the gang has sold the personal data of crores of people in India.

    According to the Cyberabad police, the gang had stolen data from over 16 crore citizens in the country. The police have been focusing on data theft as hundreds of cases have been registered in the three commissionerates of Hyderabad. The gang of cyber thieves was caught by the police in Cyberabad, and six members were arrested. The gang members have been identified as hailing from Delhi, Nagpur, and Mumbai.

    The Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, Stephen Ravindra, has revealed that the gang had stolen personal data of two and a half lakh people belonging to the Army. In addition, they had also stolen personal data of lakhs of people who had applied for insurance and loans. The gang had also leaked crores of social media IDs and passwords.

    Stephen Ravindra has further revealed that the gang members were collecting details from insurance, credit card, and loan applications with the help of employees of the respective companies. The gang members were also committing data thefts even from bank accounts that were supposed to be secure, which they then sold to third parties.

    This is a significant breakthrough in the fight against cybercrime, and it is hoped that it will serve as a warning to other cybercriminals operating in India. The Cyberabad police have urged citizens to be vigilant about their personal data and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
