Blue Star Limited, a Mumbai-based commercial refrigerator and air conditioner manufacturer, has reported a significant share of business for its deep freezer category in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. These states are important markets for the company, with revenue of Rs 70 crore generated from them out of a total of Rs 235 crore from the rest of South India. The company’s commercial refrigerator or deep freezer category is manufactured at its facility in Wada, Maharashtra, which was commissioned last year.
According to a top official, Blue Star Limited is a leader in the categories it operates and owns 29% market share in India’s commercial refrigeration category. The company’s total revenue for FY 2022 is Rs 6,045 crore, and it expects to close FY 2023 with over Rs 8,000 crore. The revenue earned from both Telugu States is Rs 70 crore, while in South India it is Rs 235 crore, and across India, it is Rs 800 crore.
