India relies heavily on crude oil imports for petrol and diesel, which means that crude prices have a significant impact on fuel rates. However, other factors such as rising demand, government taxes, rupee-dollar depreciation, and refinery concept ratio also affect domestic fuel prices.

It is important to note that fuel prices are subject to change at any time as petroleum companies such as Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) adjust fuel prices based on crude oil prices.
