8.25 lakh people visit Tirumala for darshan

Hyderabad, June 23 (Namaste Telangana): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust has announced that this year, on May 31, they had received donations worth Rs. 861 crore through both online and offline modes for the Lord Venkateswara temple. TTD Chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy unveiled the white paper on the donations received from the devotees in Tirumala on Friday. The TTD Board announced that their main focus is the renovation of ancient temples and the construction of new temples, and they have planned to commence these activities on August 28, 2018.
They also announced that they will provide a VIP break darshan once to the donors who have contributed Rs. 10 lakh. The Trust informed that a total of 8.25 lakh devotees have had darshan of Lord Venkateswara through the TTD so far. They also revealed that they have received approval for the renovation of 176 ancient temples with an expenditure of Rs. 93 crore and permission for the construction of 2,273 new temples in the surrounding areas with a total expenditure of Rs. 10 lakh each.
The TTD Chairman also mentioned the details of TTD assets, fixed deposits, and gold deposits in the white paper. He clarified that they are taking legal actions against those who have made baseless allegations on the TTD funds and are taking steps to ensure the devotees’ sentiments are respected.
