    Hyderabad: Over 69,000 family surveys have been completed in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area. This is part of a door-to-door survey to collect information about families’ socio-economic, educational, employment, political, and caste details.

    According to GHMC officials, on Sunday alone, details of 69,624 families were recorded. This was the second day of the comprehensive survey organized by the Telangana State government. The first day, which was Saturday, had a slower start.

    On Sunday, senior officials like GHMC and HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, along with monitoring officers Priyanka Karnan, Mayank Mittal, and Srinivas Kota, carried out field inspections. They worked with zonal commissioners and field officers to ensure smooth coordination and effective monitoring of the survey process.

    In the first phase of the survey, which took place from November 6 to 8, block-wise house numbers and basic details of family members were collected. Stickers were also applied to houses. The second phase of the survey, which began on Saturday, involves collecting more detailed information from families. A GHMC officer mentioned that it takes about half an hour to complete the survey for each household, as there are around 75 questions to answer.
