The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is preparing to hold the ‘Praja Palana’ program starting from Thursday. GHMC has set up 600 counters in 150 wards within the GHMC limits.
GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose stated that all necessary arrangements have been made for the Praja Palana program, which will take place from December 28, 2023, to January 6, 2024. The counters will be closed on public holidays. A total of 10,000 staff and volunteers have been assigned to the program.
Rose explained that each ward has counters at four different locations, including separate counters for women. These counters will provide application forms for the six schemes announced by the State government. The forms are available in Telugu and Urdu languages.
Once filled out, the application forms can be submitted at the counters. A schedule has been prepared for all localities and residents are encouraged to visit the centers during the program. Volunteers will be available to assist citizens in completing the forms.
Rose assured applicants that all applications will be accepted at the counters themselves. Additionally, one special officer has been assigned to each circle to monitor the ongoing processes in coordination with the Zonal Commissioner.
