Telangana Police Cadets Urged to Uphold Public Trust
In Hyderabad, Telangana State ADGP (Technical Services) V V Srinivas Rao encouraged the newly trained stipendiary cadet trainee police constables (SCTPC) to focus on building a crime-free society and to excel in their duties. Speaking at the passing-out parade (Dikshant Parade) for the 7th batch of Armed Reserve constables, he highlighted the importance of maintaining public trust and fulfilling their responsibilities in law and order.
The event took place on Thursday at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate grounds in Gachibowli. During the ceremony, Rao took the salute and presented awards to 270 cadets who performed exceptionally in indoor subjects, outdoor training, firing, and overall performance categories.
The cadets underwent nine months of rigorous basic induction training at the Police Training Center in Gachibowli. Among the 270 cadets, 41 are engineering graduates, eight hold postgraduate degrees, 167 are graduates, and 54 are intermediate-qualified. Rao praised the transparent recruitment process conducted by the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB), which attracted over eight lakh applicants for 18,000 posts.
Rao congratulated the cadets and stressed the importance of integrity, discipline, and commitment as the cornerstones of effective policing. He commended the training they received, which has equipped them to tackle the challenges of law enforcement with professionalism and dedication. He also acknowledged the vital role played by the families and training staff in shaping the future of these young officers.
Families of the cadets were specially appreciated for their support and encouragement, which motivated the trainees to serve the nation. Rao also reminded the cadets to practice financial discipline and maintain good health, which are key factors for a successful career in police service.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty also addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude to the recruitment board and training staff for their efforts. He emphasized the importance of discipline, punctuality, and professionalism in earning and maintaining public trust. He warned that even a small mistake could harm the credibility of the police force. Mohanty advised the cadets to take pride in their work, remain disciplined, and continuously strive to uphold the trust placed in them by society.
The event marked a significant milestone for the 7th batch of SCTPC trainees, who now embark on their careers with the responsibility of ensuring public safety and upholding the law.
