Dr BR Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) will hold its 25th convocation on December 28 at Bhavanam Venkatram Auditorium in Hyderabad. Around 31,729 candidates who qualified during the years 2019-2022 will receive their graduation, post-graduation, or diploma certificates. The ceremony will also award M.Phil and Ph.D degrees to students, as well as gold medals and book prizes for outstanding talent in different departments. A total of 20,972 people will receive UG certificates and 10,757 will receive PG certificates. There will be a total of 43 gold medals, with 17 in the UG category and 26 in the PG category.
The convocation will be graced by Telangana Governor, Dr Tamilisai Soundarajan, who will serve as the Chancellor. Prof M Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman of the University Grants Commission, will be the chief guest for the event. Additionally, Prof VS Prasad, a renowned educationist, will be honored with the Honoris Causa for his contributions to higher education through Open Distance Learning.
