TSRTC plans to introduce 1860 e-buses in a phased manner to provide pollution-free e-mobility in Hyderabad city. This includes 825 e-buses in 2023-24 and 1035 e-buses in 2024-25. As part of this initiative, TSRTC Greater Hyderabad Zone has launched 25 ‘Green Metro Luxury’ AC Buses in twin cities to offer passengers a pollution-free and noiseless travel experience.

V Venkateshwarlu, Executive Director of Greater Hyderabad Zone, highlighted that these Green Metro Luxury AC Buses are environmentally friendly and pollution-free. They also provide a comfortable travel experience. The buses have a range of up to 225 km on a single charge and feature 35 seating capacity with mobile charging and reading lamps on each seat. Safety measures include vehicle tracking systems, panic buttons at every seat linked to the TSRTC control room, fire detection suppression systems, and CCTV cameras with one-month backup.
