Water Supply to be Suspended for 24 Hours in Mahabubnagar

Mahabubnagar: Water supply will be stopped for 24 hours from 6:00 am on March 8 due to repair work on the Mission Bhagiratha pipeline. The repairs will take place near Devarakadra Arch on the Manyamkonda to Marikal route.

Officials explained that there is a leakage in the pipeline, and to fix it, the damaged pipes will be replaced with new ones. This repair work requires stopping the water supply completely during the process.

The water disruption will impact several areas. The supply from the Manyamkonda Water Purification Center will be cut off, affecting Devarakadra, Narayanpet, and Makthal Assembly constituencies. Mandals such as Devarakadra, Narva, Marikal, Utkoor, Narayanpet, and Damargidda will not receive water. Parts of Kaukuntla, Chinnachintakunta, Makthal, and Danwada mandals will also experience shortages. Additionally, Makthal and Narayanpet municipalities will have no water supply during this period. In total, 245 villages and two municipalities will be affected.

Meanwhile, we request the people of Mahabubnagar to make alternative arrangements and support us during this time,” said P. Venkat Reddy, Executive Engineer of the Mission Bhagiratha Grid Division in Mahabubnagar.
