    Hyderabad: Around 22 students from the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) have secured seats in top medical colleges across the state. This happened during the first round of counselling for the NEET UG-2024.

    According to TMREIS officials, students from 204 Telangana Minorities Residential Junior Colleges (TMRJCs) were chosen through a written examination and technical interview. These selected students were then enrolled in TMREIS Centres of Excellence for specialized coaching in IIT and NEET.

    Out of 206 students who took the NEET-UG 2024 exam, 137 students (85 boys and 52 girls) successfully qualified. So far, 22 of these students have secured free medical seats in the first phase of counselling. A senior TMREIS officer shared that they are hopeful that around 50 more students will secure MBBS seats in the upcoming second and third phases of counselling.
