HYDERABAD: The Nagarjuna Sagar Project is currently receiving a large amount of water. To manage this, officials have opened 22 crest gates to control the water levels.
The inflow of water into the reservoir is 2,08,863 cusecs, while the outflow is higher, at 2,25,463 cusecs. The water level in the reservoir is at 589.70 feet, which is just below its full capacity of 590 feet. The reservoir’s water storage is 311.49 TMC, nearly reaching its maximum capacity of 312 TMC.
Due to the release of water, authorities have warned people living in downstream areas to be careful and stay updated about the water levels.
