    Rangareddy: The Group-I exam in Ranga Reddy district saw a turnout of 5,854 candidates out of 8,011 who had enrolled. This means that the attendance rate was 73.08%, while 2,157 candidates, or 26.92%, did not show up for the test conducted on Monday.

    There were 11 exam centers set up across the district to accommodate all the registered candidates. Despite the available seating, a large number of candidates were absent.

    One of the highest absences was reported at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology in Aziz Nagar, Moinabad. Out of 626 registered candidates, 358 did not attend the exam.

    Another center with a significant number of absentees was Joginpally BR Engineering College in Yenkapally Village, also in Moinabad. Here, 316 out of 500 candidates were absent.

    KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology in Moinabad had two centers, where 432 out of 768 candidates did not attend the test.

    Before the exam, District Collector K Shashanka visited several centers to inspect the arrangements made for the Group-I Main exams, which began on Monday and will continue until October 27.

    Officials reminded candidates to arrive at the exam center between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm, as latecomers would not be allowed to enter.

    Authorities also instructed the staff to check hall tickets carefully to prevent impersonation. Xerox centers near the exam venues were closed as a precaution.

    Additionally, regional coordinators, chief superintendents, flying squads, sitting squads, identification officers, and liaison officers were told to carry out their duties responsibly to ensure the smooth conduct of the exam.
