On Sunday, the graduation ceremony of 166 newly appointed constables of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) was held at the 8th battalion in Kondapur. The ceremony was attended by TSRTC chairman and MLA Bajireddy Govardhan and Managing Director VC Sajjanar, who felicitated the constables.
The four constables who displayed the highest talent during training were also recognized and given trophies. Srujan was awarded for being the best all-rounder, Rama Devi for being the best indoor performer, and Poojita and Sai Kiran for being the best outdoor performers.
According to TSRTC, these constables were appointed recently under compassionate recruitment. Out of the 166 constables, 107 are men and 57 are women. They underwent a month-long training at the 8th battalion with the cooperation of the Police department.
During the ceremony, Govardhan congratulated the constables and emphasized their importance as the eyes and ears of the corporation. Sajjanar expressed his happiness that new constables are joining TSRTC and highlighted that one-third of them are women. He instructed them to perform their duties with commitment.
Since 2014, TSRTC has provided jobs to 1,606 people under the Karunya recruitment scheme. Sajjanar thanked TSSP Additional DGP Swati Lakra and 8th battalion Commandant Murali Krishna for effectively training the newly appointed constables.
