    A green drive was held at Vivekananda Engineering College in Karimnagar under the Haritha Haram programme. 60 NSS volunteers took part in the event and planted around 150 saplings on the college premises. The first sapling was planted by B. Govinda Rao, Additional Director of the college, who emphasized the importance of trees for progress and urged the volunteers to take care of them.

    Mechineni Aravinda Rao, the vice chairman of the college, praised the NSS volunteers and encouraged them to participate in more service programs in the future. College principal Dr. D. Murali also spoke about the significance of tree planting. The event was attended by College AO Sagi Sudhakar Rao, K. Laxman, NSS program officer Nampelli Stalin, Pawan Rao, heads of departments, faculty, volunteers, and students.
