A Telugu question paper for the 10th class exam was leaked at a social welfare school in Nakrekal, causing a major stir. The police have registered a case and started an investigation. As a result, one student was debarred, and officials were suspended.
On Friday, an unknown person took a photo of the question paper from a private school student and shared it on social media. The image quickly went viral in Shaligouraram Mandal. In response, Nakrekal Mandal Education Officer Mekala Nagayya filed a complaint at the local police station. A police team, led by Nakrekal CI Rajasekhar and Kondal Reddy, began investigating the incident.
Using phone numbers linked to the viral images, the police detained 15 young people from Nakrekal and Shaligouraram Mandals for questioning at the Nalgonda district police office. Meanwhile, the private school student involved in the leak was not allowed to take the Hindi exam on Saturday. District education officials had already announced the student’s debarment on Friday. After completing the necessary formalities, officials, with police assistance, escorted the student home to Shaligouraram Mandal.
Following the incident, district education authorities took strict action. Chief Superintendent Pothula Gopal and Departmental Officer Rammohan Reddy were removed from their positions and issued show-cause notices, asking them to explain their failure to prevent the leak. Additionally, Sudharani, a TGT teacher who was on duty as the exam room invigilator, was suspended for negligence.
