The “Kanti Velugu” scheme has helped many people with eye problems in Telangana State. So far, 1,60,89,744 people have been tested for eye problems. Of those, 22,44,267 were found to have problems and were given free spectacles and medicine. This was done to help make sure that no one suffers from eye problems in the state.

The government started the Kanti Velugu scheme to help people with vision loss. Many people have problems with their vision because of their jobs or lifestyle. The second phase of the scheme started on January 18 and almost all of the eye tests have been completed. District Collectors and officials from different departments are working hard to make sure the programme is successful in every district.
