    A Meeting in Gattu Mandal to Honor Heritage

    A significant meeting, called the Sagara Sangam, was held today at Gattu Mandal headquarters. The gathering focused on an important announcement about the installation of a statue of Sri Sri Bhagiratha Maharshi in Gattu. This statue is being built in memory of late G. Parvathamma and G. Maldanna, the parents of the well-known Rice Mill Brothers from Chinnonipalli village.

    During the event, G. Srinivasulu Sagara, who serves as the President of the Gattu Mandal Sagara Sangam and Treasurer of the District Rice Mill Owners Association, generously contributed ₹50,000 to support the construction of the statue.

    The meeting was attended by several prominent individuals. Among them were U. Satyanarayana Sagara, the State Vice President of Sagara Sangam and a retired MEO, as well as U. Krishnamurthy Sagara, a Class 1 Contractor. Retired Headmaster U. Govindappa Sagara also participated, along with other notable members of the Sagara community, including U. Ravi Sagara, U. Srinu Sagara, U. Vaikuntham Sagara, U. Mahadev Sagara, and U. Narasimhulu Sagara.

    The statue of Sri Sri Bhagiratha Maharshi is meant to honor his penance and contributions. It also serves as a symbol of the rich heritage and cultural pride of the Sagara community.
